At an early age,
Brian Jamerson, Master Painter and owner of Orion Custom Guitar
Finishing found his love for carpentry. At
just 17, Brian's early creations were recognized and earned him an
award, being voted top of his woodworking class in South Jersey.
After graduation, Brian immediately started a woodworking apprenticeship
- He was eager to continue creating beautiful things out of wood. Brian
served a 4 year fulltime apprenticeship as a woodworker; learning
primarily about wood types and working each specific type with hand and
power tools. This apprenticeship also taught Brian professional
finishing techniques and tactics for each specific type of wood. Shortly
after Brian started building award-winning displays and exhibits out of
exotic woods for many of the major trade shows throughout the USA. These
hand built displays were nothing short of breathtaking. Today Brian Jamerson's love for exotic woods and finishes has taken him to the next
level - Musical instrument finishing. The finishing of musical
instruments is a natural extension of what Brian has learned throughout
the years - His love for exotic woods,
lifelong experience in the woodworking field, and strong knowledge of
wood types and finishes simply makes him a master at what he does.
